What do you do at Otso Cycles?

I design bikes and do some other stuff that is not as interesting.

What inspires you about working for Otso Cycles?

Working with the great team of people we have, seeing someone riding an Otso bike "in the wild" with a huge grin on their face.

    Favorite type of riding?

Twisty, hilly singletrack in the woods. Summer or winter. The sort of riding where you are 100% focused and the only thing on your mind is the trail in front of you.

    Spirit animal?

    Owl

    Favorite post-ride meal?

A big burrito and a cold beer.

What ride is on your bucket list?

I really want to do some sort of hut-to-hut ride in the mountains

    Dan Dittmer

What inspires you about working for Otso Cycles?

Working with a small but dedicated team that works hard but rides harder.

    Favorite type of riding?

I love exploring on really long rides. Nothing is better than a multi-day ride somewhere in the mountains where I have never been before.

What do you do at Otso Cycles?

    Sales and new business

    Where are you from?

Watertown, NY famous for its two seasons: winter and six weeks of tough snowshoeing.

What inspires you about working at Otso Cycles?

Fueling the stoke among our riders and ambassadors! I get the most satisfaction out of enabling people’s good times. Our customers and dealers asked about rack mounts for the Voytek; within a few hours of discussing this issue, we had a CAD drawing and then a working prototype for adding these to our bikes. The people that I work with are some of the most innovative, kind and genuine people that I’ve ever come across.

    What is your secret power?

Scott’s Sandwich Sense: the ability to detect a killer sandwich shop within any 50-mile radius. I used to travel over 40K miles a year for work so it’s important to find those secret spots.

    What is your favorite trail?

I rode The Whole Enchilada in Moab for the first time this year and it was hands down the best ride I’ve ever been on.

Favorite food after an epic ride?

I like to enjoy a refreshing hoppy IPA or two and some type of meal cooked over or at a campfire.

What ride is on your bucket list?

I have some friends that have been riding the TATR which is a 550 mile self-supported bikepacking adventure through the Adirondack Mountains in NY. I worked as a forester and recreated in that area for over 20 years and would like to return some day to do that ride.

What do you do at Otso Cycles?

    Event coordinator and sales

    Where are you from?

    Minneapolis, MN

What inspires you about working at Otso Cycles?

I love working here because not only do I get to be in the cycling industry, but I get to bring the joy of bikes to people across the country. It is so rewarding seeing someone come back from a test ride or first shakedown ride with the biggest smile on there face and so many things to tell you about the ride. To top it all off I get to come to work everyday and work with people who are just as passionate about cycling as I am.

Favorite Local and non local trail?

Local: Elm Creek,MN. Super flowy with some tech pit stops along the way gives you options on your rides.

Non-local: The Whole Enchilada, Moab. Rode the Whole E for the first time this year. Something that I want to relive in the near future. It gives you a taste of so many riding disciplines that you can't choose just one section to be your favorite, it's all good!

    Hobbies outside of cycling?

Downhill skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, just being outside.

    What's your go to beer?

    Schells Firebrick or Dark

Favorite food after an epic ride?

-Whatever is left in my pack (if there is anything)

-Glass of whisky, plus maybe a beer or three

-A tinfoil dinner over a campfire
