Wide Open Speed

The Waheela R was made for racing on rough gravel roads at top speed. The geometry was developed for command and confidence, the tubing was shaped for proven aerodynamics, and the carbon layup was crafted with the perfect balance of comfort and power transfer. Simply put: it's build to rip.

Amazing do it all Gravel Bike. Swap in a MTB XC Tire on the front and it's perfect for Rule of 3, Core 4 multi surface type of race. Checks so many boxes with UDH + Transmission, Internal Storage, Wide Tire clearance, Aero frame, Modern geo.. Ripping fast!

I was told by multple people that this bike wanted to go fast. " It's a rocketship" and "It's a cheat code for gravel" were just two of the things I was told. Bought the frame, built the bike, and I couldnt be happier. The bike just wants to move! As much as I loved my Waheela C, the Waheela R just has more of race bike feel to it, which is what I wanted for my geared gravel bike. Highly recommend.

I’ve been really happy with my Waheela R. I worked with the Otso team on the fitting of stem and seat post length and they were great to work with. They helped me get everything set up for the kind of riding I wanted to do, and the bike has been a great fit for me.

It’s fast, comfortable, and really capable. I ride a mix of pavement and gravel, and it handles both really well. It’s quick on pavement, even when it gets rough with cracks and broken sections, and feels right at home on gravel roads. I can just head out and ride without worrying too much about what kind of roads I’m going to end up on.

Mostly, it’s just been a really fun bike. I’ve put a lot of miles on it already and find myself wanting to ride it all the time. It fits my riding style really well and is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered it.

Great bike and a great experience working with the Otso team. I’d definitely buy it again.

FAST and so capable! I upgraded from a Waheela C and this is honestly a totally different bike - 1.5 lbs lighter and very steady over rough terrain. I rode it in the Mid South PRo cateogry and was really happy with the power transfer to counter attacks and go up punchy little hills. I also used it on my FKT of the 730 mile Cross Washington trail, and felt confident on single track, rough forest roads, through sand and down steep descents covered in loose baby head rocks (well, not I didnt feel quite so confident on that last part but it wasnt the bikes fault). LOVE the one finger braking on the new Force XPLR for these long rides too!!!
FYI - The sizing is quite different on the Waheela R vs the Waheela C, so double check the geo chart. I am 5'8" and ride a small.

I’ve really enjoyed riding the Waheela R. It’s quick when you want to push the pace, but still super comfortable and predictable on rough terrain. I’ve ridden it on everything from fast gravel to longer days, and it’s been solid through all of it. Just a really fun bike that’s easy to trust when you’re racing or putting in big miles.

I love this bike! First of all, it's so pretty! It's also fast and zippy and responsive. It's stable on rougher and looser gravel to give you confidence to go fast and push your limits.

The Waheela R is hands down the best gravel race bike I have ridden. The stability along combined with stiffness and compliance in the right ways makes for an elite level race rocket or just a comfortable group ride gravel cruiser. This bike has reinvigorated my love for gravel.

Best bike I've ever owned. Went with the SRAM Rival build and customized with some other upgraded items like seatpost, wheelset and stem. Really cool to be able to get exactly what you are looking for in build.

I've been running a Waheela C for 4 years now and decided to make the switch. Haven't regretted it for a moment. The Race version is a significant step up in terms of feel and weight, but I still feel like I can ride all day because of how comfortable it is. Again, couldn't be happier and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top of the line gravel bike.

I love this bike! it wants to go fast. I raced unbound 200 this year in the worst conditions I've ever raced in and the bike performed super well. It was smooth through the extra chunky sections due to the rain and I managed to PR my time! it's because of the bike!
