 Max Torque Information

  • Saddle clamp bolts: 10 Nm
  • Seatpost clamp bolt (with an M5 bolt): 5 Nm

 

Seatpost & Saddle Installation

Required tools and supplies:

  • File or fine grit sandpaper
  • Grease
  • 4mm, 5mm, 6mm torque wrench with Newton meter (Nm) scale to match size of seatpost clamp bolt and saddle clamp bolts
  • Carbon friction paste

Instructions:

  1. Clean the inside of the seat tube and remove any burrs using the file or the fine grit sandpaper.
  2. Apply a thin layer of carbon friction paste to the inside of the seat tube.
  3. Insert the seatpost into the seat tube past the minimum insertion marking. Tighten the seatpost clamp bolt until snug. 
  4. Loosen both saddle clamp bolts until they are flush or slightly recessed into the nuts. Remove the bolt at the back of the saddle clamp to allow enough space for saddle installation.
  5. Slide the saddle rails into the grooves of the saddle rail cradle. Adjust the fore, aft, and angle to your preferred position.
  6. Reinstall the rear saddle clamp bolt and tighten both saddle clamp bolts equally to 9-10 Nm.
  7. Adjust the saddle height, ensuring that the max insertion depth line remains inside the seat tube. Tighten the seatpost clamp to the manufacturer's spec (not to exceed 5 Nm).
