This frame is nearly perfect. After riding for two weeks now, I have a sense of what it's about. The geometry, and hence the handling, is spot on for a fun, playful, and capable do it all hardtail. The seat tube angle is just right to pedal comfortably but climb well. It's good enough on tight trails while still handling downhills well. Lots of great features on this frame, not to mention a great paint color. The only downside for me, and it keeps it at 4 stars over 5, is the weight. This frame is HEAVY. I'm getting 7lbs 12oz with headset axle. At this price point, which is very competitive, that's just too much. I would say 1lb too much. If the weight was down, it would get 5 stars from me!

I am really happy with my experience buying a otso hoot steel from otso online. They helped consult me on which size would be good for me since I was in-between L and XL. They also accommodated some special requests I had, like having shimano xr group set. The bike is awesome! Sleek and beautiful. Does the job it was made to do perfectly. I love the pumpkin orange color. It really pops in person. Hopefully this is my forever bike.
