Designed from the gravel up for performance, confidence, and speed for when results matter most. This gravel race bike features longer, slacker geometry for stability at high speeds and short chain stays to keep things quick and nimble. The lightweight carbon fiber frame features an aerodynamic profile with strong lines and Kamm Tail tube shapes, clearance for 700 x 50c tires, and an option for fully internal routing. Three bottle mounts and an internal storage compartment in the front triangle will keep riders prepared and fueled up for race day.

Otso bikes are available to purchase here on our website or with our network of Otso dealers. Our Custom Bike Builder allows you to select most component options on your bike, including drivetrain, wheelset, tires, handlebars, seatpost, anodized accent color option, and more. The Waheela R is also available as a frameset if you already have parts ready to go at home. When an order is placed, the Otso team builds the bike based on your custom specs and ships it to you. Home assembly is as simple as putting on the wheels and straightening the handlebars. We’re happy to talk through options to help you build the Waheela R that is perfect for you and your riding style.

Fast, Commanding Geometry
The Waheela R was created to be confident, stable, and comfortable on rough terrain at high speeds. Frame geometry includes a slack head tube angle, steep seat tube angle, and high mechanical trail. The result feels like blasting on autopilot through loose and chunky gravel.
Perfectly Efficient
The carbon layup frame is designed to give you the perfect blend of stiffness and compliance. Stiffness was added to the bottom bracket area and lateral rear triangle for maximum power transfer efficiency. Compliance was baked into the fork and vertical rear triangle to smooth out bumps in the road and track through rough gravel. The Waheela R is ready for your next sprint, while being as comfortable as possible for a long race in the saddle.
Kamm Tail Aero Tubing
Strong lines and aerodynamics. The Waheela R features a Kamm tail shape to the carbon tubing on the frame and fork. This design is most commonly found on sports cars and has decades of wind tunnel testing to prove aerodynamic benefits.
Three Routing Options
The Waheela R has three options for brake and shifter cable routing. Classic frame routing allows lines to enter the frame near the top of the down tube and exit near their respective rear components. Semi-internal routing allows lines to tuck under the handlebar and enter the frame via the headset top cap. Full internal routing keeps lines inside the handlebar.
Generous Tire Clearance
Gravel comes in all shapes and sizes. The Waheela R has the tire clearance to blast through gravel of all sorts and do it with control. Ride tires as big as 700c x 50mm on the Waheela R.
Internal Frame Storage
A door on the down tube opens for a storage compartment to store tools, snacks, or other small items that you need for a full day of racing. An internal storage bag with neoprene keeps your cargo safe and prevents rattling inside the frame. Best of all: the door is secure on rough terrain and the lever is easily accessible above a water bottle.
Custom Chainguide
A Wolf Tooth LoneWolf Chainguide was designed specifically for the Waheela R. It connects to a hidden mount just above the bottom bracket for unrivaled chain retention.
50T Chainring Max
Yeah, that's big. Ride round 1x chainrings up to 50T on the Waheela R – max oval size is 48T. On the other end, ride as small as 38T.
1x Drivetrains
The Waheela R is compatible with 1x drivetrains, as there is no mount option for a front derailleur. This keeps your Waheela R light and simple for the race ahead.
Quality Assured
Waheela R frames are designed and tested here in Minnesota, manufactured in one of the premiere carbon fiber factories in Taiwan and come with a five-year limited warranty. All bikes are inspected and assembled at our headquarters in Minneapolis, MN USA.
